Apple Pressing
Towards the end of October each year we open the pressing room at the back of the Heritage Centre to carry on the village's long apple pressing tradition .
We are grateful for donations of apples to be pressed, and you are welcome to bring some containers which we will fill with juice for you to take home.
Pressing starts at 11am and continues until we run out of apples - usually around 2pm.
The juice can be kept for 2-3 days in the fridge,or can be frozen or made into cider.
It is a fun day and refreshments are normally available. The exact date is released in late September or early October, and will be publicised on our Events page and social media accounts, so check back then for further details.
