Volunteers' Coffee Mornings
Between 1st October -31st March at 11am on the first Monday of the month (the second Monday in January if the first Monday is New Year's day) our volunteers meet at the New Fountain Inn where they buy themselves a cup of tea or coffee and have a chat. It is a friendly, informal gathering, and anyone who volunteers at the Heritage Centre or for the History Society in whatever capacity is welcome to go along. If you are thinking about volunteering and would like to know more then please join us - you can talk to our existing volunteers and find out what is involved.
Next meeting 4th March 11am.

An Appeal – New Secretary needed

Aft
er more than 23 years of sterling service, our secretary, Roger Smith, has decided to resign with effect from the end of March. We therefore need someone to replace him. The secretary is one of the key members of the management committee, being responsible for keeping the minutes of meetings, writing the newsletter, and dealing with correspondence relating to the Society. In addition, and as a committee member, Roger has been involved in organising events such as the Whimple Wassail and Auction of Pledges and Promises to name but a few. He has kindly agreed to continue organising the members’ Christmas lunch.
If you are interested or would like more information then please Contact us and someone will get back to you.
