Members and Friends Christmas Lunch

The Christmas Lunch is a highlight of the Whimple History Society calendar. Invitations are sent out to our members towards the end of October, and they are welcome to bring along their friends as well. The lunch is held at the Whimple Cricket Club in early December, and comprises a traditional buffet meal provided by outside caterers. There is an extensive raffle with many wonderful prizes supplied by our members, and we book a professional entertainer to round off an enjoyable afternoon.
 

Please note that attendance at the Christmas Lunch is subject to an additional payment – it is not included in the annual subscription.

Whilst we make every effort to open the Heritage Centre at the advertised times, we are occasionally unable to do so owing to a shortage of volunteers. Any unscheduled closure will be advertised on our Facebook page, and we suggest that you check it before travelling.

Accessibility:

The Heritage Centre museum is located on the ground floor of the building and is wheelchair accessible. The Heritage Centre archive is on the first floor and is not, but by prior arrangement with our archivist records can be brought down to the ground floor for viewing.

The nearest bus stop is located 400ft away in the village square served by the 382 service.
