Talks

We hold a minimum of five talks per year on a wide variety of historical subjects. Talks are presented variously by members of the Whimple History Society and by professional speakers.

 

Admission is free for History Society members. Non-members are welcome - we suggest a donation of £4pp, or £2pp for under 18s.

Unless otherwise stated Talks are held in the Whimple Village Hall, School Hill, Whimple, Exeter EX5 2TS

Whilst we make every effort to open the Heritage Centre at the advertised times, we are occasionally unable to do so owing to a shortage of volunteers. Any unscheduled closure will be advertised on our Facebook page, and we suggest that you check it before travelling.

Accessibility:

The Heritage Centre museum is located on the ground floor of the building and is wheelchair accessible. The Heritage Centre archive is on the first floor and is not, but by prior arrangement with our archivist records can be brought down to the ground floor for viewing.

Whimple Stores

The village shop located in the Square just a short walk from the Heritage Centre offers take-away and sit-in coffees as well as various snacks and cold beverages.
